Set up roles and permissions

Control what each user type can see in the web dashboard and mobile app, and create custom user types that match how your team works.

Integrio support team · Updated 6 October 2026

User types decide which features a team member can access. Every user type has a seat: The Works (office, web dashboard and mobile app) or Base (field, mobile app only). Each type has its own Web dashboard and Mobile app toggles.
  1. 01

    Open the Users settings

Go to Settings and choose Users. The list shows each team member's Name, Role, Licence, Email, Status, Verified and Last Active.

  2. 02

    Review the built-in user types

The User types panel lists every type, with Owner at the top. Base seats work in the mobile app only; The Works seats also get the web dashboard.

  3. 03

    Open a user type

Select a user type to open its toggles. A Base type shows the web dashboard as locked, because that seat has no web access.

  4. 04

    Set the toggles

Switch features on or off under Web dashboard and Mobile app, then select Save permissions. The change applies to everyone with that type.

  5. 05

    Create a custom user type

Select + New user type, give it a Name your team will recognise, such as Senior engineer, and pick its Seat: Base or The Works. You can also duplicate an existing type to copy its seat and every toggle.

  6. 06

Assign a user type to a team member

Choose the user type when you invite a new team member or edit an existing one. Every member with that type then gets the access you configured for it.

Good to know

  • ✓Permission changes apply to the whole user type, so every member with that type is affected at once.
  • ✓If you delete a custom user type, its members are automatically reassigned to the standard type for the same licence.
  • ✓Name custom types after the job they represent, such as Senior Engineer, so they are easy to pick when inviting.
