What goes in an MCS handover pack?
Under MIS 3002 an MCS handover pack includes copies of all commissioning forms and checklists, maintenance requirements and services, manufacturer manuals and warranties, any incentive scheme paperwork, and a signed handover document listing the key components, performance estimate and first inspection interval. The MCS certificate follows within 10 working days of commissioning.

How do you get the most from a mcs handover pack checklist?
Register after commissioning, not before
MCS says registration happens only once the system is fully installed and commissioned, then within 10 working days. Put a dated task on the job so it isn't missed when the crew moves on.
List components by serial
The standard asks for a list of the key components. Give the make, model and serial of each inverter and battery: the next service visit and any warranty claim start from that list.
Explain it, don't just email it
Both standards say the pack is provided and explained at handover. Walk the customer's facilities team through the customer checks and who to call, then get the signature.
What does MIS 3002 require in the handover pack?

At minimum: copies of all forms and checklists used to commission the system, the maintenance requirements and services available, manufacturer user manuals and warranty details, documents for any incentive scheme, and additional information from Section 17 of the IET Code of Practice. It must also include the checks customers should carry out themselves, how often, and what to do about problems.

Is a battery handover pack different?

It is similar. MIS 3012 asks for the same core documents and signed handover document, with the information in Section 13 of the IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems, and documentation and labelling to BS EN IEC/IEEE 82079-1. Its model handover document also records the system class, island mode capability, maximum power output and usable capacity.
When must the MCS certificate be issued?

The installer registers the installation on the MCS Installation Database and generates the certificate no later than 10 working days after commissioning, and only after the system is fully installed and commissioned. The certificate is sent to the customer to keep in the handover pack.

Does Integrio issue MCS certificates?

No. Integrio is not a certification body and does not register installations on the MCS Installation Database. It keeps the commissioning forms, serials, manuals and warranties against each product so the pack can be assembled and exported from one record.

Yes. Use it on paper, in a spreadsheet or in Integrio. Check the current MCS standards for your technology before relying on it, as they are revised.
